Welcome to the 7th Annual Mancos Reniassance Faire!
We are anticipating 3,000 – 5,000 attendees this year and we look forward to your helping us serve, delight and entertain them.
Some need-to-know information:
1. Parking for merchants is outside the circular part entrance area, along the road and possible on private land. Further information will be forth coming.
2. Temporary parking within the Park’s circular drive through will be available in designated areas for up to 10 minutes for drop off and pick up. If you overextend your time in this area you will be ticketed and towed…warning!
3. All vendors must provide own security for your wares and may sleep in booth during Faire. If you decide to camp at your booth, you must contact Marguerite at 970-946-4831 or email at mscottfestival@gmail.com for permission and further details. View camping guidelines here.
4. You must be in costume at all times that the gate is open. Please make this a priority; we are hosting a time period event AND it makes it so much more fun. View costume suggestions here.
5. Please do your best to speak in medieval style. This is not as important as the costumes but it does add to the atmosphere. This year we will be having a Friday evening “Speak the Speech” workshop to get you warmed up and help with ideas. All that can attend are strongly encouraged to do so! (More info to be sent out closer to event.) Suggestions and phrases are available here.
6. All non-period equipment in your booth must be out of site and hearing of the patrons. Please keep all phones turned off or on vibrate mode.
7. Your booth must be a period tent, wooden booth or awning. You may put up pop-ups with metal legs but please make sure the legs have some kind of fabric sleeves to cover them. If you need assistance with ideas, please feel free to contact Marguerite.
8. All merchants/vendors must have a signed Hold Harmless Agreement on file with us.
9. The gate times this year are as follows Saturday 10:00am-8:00pm; Sunday 11:00am-4:00pm
10. We are staying open late Saturday night and are having drumming and fire dancing. (Until approx 10:00 pm)
11. Merchants animals are permitted in keeping with the medieval atmosphere. The animal’s owner is responsible for continuous cleaning up after said animal. Animals in the Medieval Menagerie are not to be harmed or mistreated in any way. Animals that may bite or harm other participants must be muzzled at all times. Animals must be on a leash, with an attached person, at all times. PLEASE have Rabies Vaccination verification for animals via Tag and/or Certificate! Animals may NOT be left in cars, tied to trees, etc. Walking your pet along the river trail and outer perimeter of the park only is strongly recommended. The general public may not bring animals to the faire.
12. This year there is a small admission fee. Please send a list of names closely associated with your booth (maximum of 5) before August 21st. This list will be at the admission Gate and you and your group will have admission fees waived. Otherwise you will be charged the regular admission fee.
13. Check in for camp and Booth set up times are Friday August 20 10:00am-5:00pm and Saturday August 21 8:00-9:00am. Check in with Marguerite for booth and camping assignment locations and parking passes.
